Hi Everyone,

Is there an elearn for this model facelift yet? as I have the 2016 model with the 2.3 euro 5 engine (F1AE3481D) allbeit its a motorhome... Its there a elearn for it?

KeyePer is the parts manual. It stops working after a while unless you periodically purchase on online parts subscription to the technical site.

KeyLearn was the workshop manual on a USB pen, but it has been suspended and currently unavailable. You had to be registered on the tech site to buy it anyway (VAT registered business connected to the motor trade)

Sorry to resurrect an old thread (happy to start a new one if that's better) - just wondering if anyone has successfully got a workshop manual for the x290?

And/or if anyone has an accurate wiring/fusing diagram? I've realised that the fuses listed in the owner's manual miss half the fuses in the box, and identify several fuses that don't exist! Very confusing!

Has anybody got the X290 elearn or link to it?

Thanks

There isn't one. Fiat did initially offer a frozen copy of their online technical information on an encypted USB stick, but to comply with EU legislation the information is now only accessible via their online technical portal.

Access can be purchased by the hour, day, month or annually by registered users but you have to be a VAT registered business engaged in the vehicle repair or associated businesses and jump through several hoops to register.

Thanks for that, shame.

Following up query. Does anybody have an X290 wiring diagram they can share?

I think the best you will get is the X250 eLearn. Apart from specific recent modifications, the basic vehicles are really not that different.

Thanks downloaded that, burnt to CD, installed. Seems to install OK. But nothing is displayed when I select items from the menu. Nothing is displayed at the end of the menu tree? Menus display fine. The error in the log file is

07/08/2020 10:32:37 N. 53 WHERE=HTML::LoadTextFile SOURCE=eLearnCDROM DESC=File not found

Picture attached

Any ideas?

Is the eLearn CD in your CD drive when you run it? Only the viewer software is installed on your computer. The location of the original disc (the CD-ROM drive you installed from) is fixed during installation and the program expects to find the data files at that location when you launch the viewer.

The alternative, which I use, is to copy the eLearn ISO image to my hard disc, mount it and run the install from there. The location of the data files is then fixed as your ISO image, so each time you want to run eLearn, you have to mount the ISO image through Windows (or your OS) then launch the eLearn program (viewer).

The only issue I find is that sometimes the ISO image can mount to a different drive letter than it used during install. I found that dismounting and remounting the image normally fixes that, but there is a Windows utility called WinCDemu that allows you to choose the drive letter to be assigned when invoking a mount command:

Thanks for your reply.

Yes to all of that. My original solution was the virtual disk. Went back to CD to see if that was the issue.

Just tried on a separate PC which works. So need to work out why my PC is not working. Mine does not come up with the Acrobat licence agreement dialogue either. I did not have Acrobat installed. Installed that but that doesn't fix it either.

Anyway now I know I can get it to work on a PC I'll try more options to troubleshoot mine.

Thanks again

Fixed now. Just in case anyone else has a similar problem. The install was complaining about msxml4.dll. Once I installed this from Microsoft all was well
