I've just bought a lwb 2.8jtd with a non workinf speedo which I'll look at sometime. My biggest concern is if I accelerate hard the steering wheel turns, the van stays straight and when I ease off it goes back.if I hold the steering wheel the the van veers.
What's causing this as it only just went through an mot

I can't find a manual on haynes website. Any idea where I can find one. I'm no mechanic but can follow a book. I lookes underneath with no real idea and the bushes looked ok,as I said though I'm not a mechanic

Here are the instructions for downloading & burning the 244 (or X250) eLearn -

Just in case you don't know the eLearn is (or was) Fiats' method of purchasing their Workshop manuals for their various vehicles, Dealers ONLY! it now supplies to their dealers on KeyLearn (a USB stick)
As for the non working speedo I would suspect a faulty Transducer, they are available on eBay
cheers

They wear on the inside you can test bushings by levering the wishbone with a large prybar. If you think you need a manual to change the bushings I would bring it to a mechanic all they need to do is open 3 bolts each side to change them so it shouldn't cost much in labour and the parts are cheap.

Its all ok now thanks loads. It was a wishbone thing which allowed the wheel to move like it was unattached. Turned out the van had a bent mot on it anyway. so I informed the seller who was a commercial vehicle seller who couldn't wait to drive 3 hours to refund me and take back the van.

My first problem is I've bought a Fiat Ducato

An dead abused ducato you mean. Don't despair, I bought ours as a non runner 8 years ago , all its required in 8 years is brake pads & disks, 3 bushings and a driveshaft.
