Hi - newbie to the forum so please be gentle!
Just purchased the van and there are two (probably related) problems with the instrument panel on my motorhome.
1. The fuel gauge sometimes fluctuates, suddenly dropping lower and then slowly returning back to the original level. Sometimes it's OK.
2. The temperature gauge shows a constant low temperature just below "Normal" after the engine has fully warmed up.
I've changed the thermostat for a genuine Fiat replacement. I've also scoured the forums and it seems that the problem could be either a bad earth point or a duff voltage regulator.
My question is:
If the former, is the earth point for the two instruments behind the fascia panel.
If the latter, where is the voltage regulator physically located?
Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the Ducato 2.8jtd (Chassis No.: 06121782: Engine M131 2800 JTD)
If anyone has any other thoughts about what might be causing the problem please let me know.
