Looking for a Doblo van. Where's the cheapest the forum has found? Also, is the 1.3 MJ powerful enough for such a big van, I've currently a 1.5 70bhp Kangoo? I've found loads of new Doblo's on Autotrader, but none have any options and all seem to be fitted with bulkheads (which I don't want) and are all base spec models. If I bought a Doblo with a bulkhead fitted, can it be removed?
Cheers all

You should be able to remove the bulkhead if one has been installed! The 1.3 is ok, just don't expect to go anywhere too fast or not have to change down gears for hills :)

If you yse the vehicle configurator on the Fiat website the bulkhead is standard and cannot be un specified. You need to go and pester a dealer to see one and see if it can be removed. However Niall might be along soon to tell you!
Incidentally, rather stupidly, the bulkhead does not have a window in it.

When I ordered my van I was told I could have it with a ladder bulkhead instead of the solid one (y) - which I could have gotton with a window.

I have thousands of € worth of tools and stock in the back of mine so the steel bulkhead and the steel doors with no windows gives me great security (y) It's a no scumbag zone :D :D

And all of a sudden there I was !

Mrs_G's Cargo came with a factory fitted bulkhead. It has a window, although it might as well not be there as I have hung a travel blanket up behind the seats using strong magnets as a sound deadening measure.

I am puzzled why anyone wouldn't want a bulkhead. The safety aspect would be my greatest concern - I like to know that there's something substantial between me and the load in case the worst happens and I, or Mrs_G, is involved in an accident.

.

I won't be carrying anything heavy in the van apart from a bike or two and my dogs. I'll fit a piece of mesh across the back to stop the dog jumping on the seats. I don't want a bulk ahead as I need to see what the dog's are upto.
It seems odd that I can buy a passager doblo cheaper than a van with the same spec. Don't see why I should pay more £££ for a van when it should be cheaper than the car version.

I noticed its cheaper to buy the car version rather than the van, so i got the car version and I can cross the severn bridge cheaper in a doblo with windows than if it was a van version.
Still cross the bridge with machines in the back though hehe :D
