i have a doblo 1.9jtd

The tyres always look "soft" when inflated as per the book, hubby works away for 4 months at a time and as he hasnt really seen what i mean, he is insisting i follow the manual and only inflate the tyres to the recommended psi.

had new tyres all round the other week and they still look soft, ride is crap, fuel economy dropped from 56 - 51, sways round corners now too.

Whats the BEST pressure to have my tyres on...?

I have mine set to 2.2 bar as per drivers' handbook :D The van feels a bit uneasy when racing hard through bends - it feels as if she will slide about but this is due to the puny 175 tyres Fiat speced. (n) About two years ago I used to run them about 30 psi which on mature recollection is a bit too soft but she handled much better... :bang: The best front tyres I have had so far have been Firestones and not the crappy Dunlops she came shod with, so its worth haveing a good root about. :D

As Doblo said, do a search on previous posts.

Though to break it down, 40psi all round on the MPV version is fine if you're not carrying heavy loads or lots of passengers, if you are just up the rear tyres by the book.

Also the make and type of tyre you have will affect it greatly, they MUST be reinforced or you will have trouble in the corners and they MUST abide by the weight ratings of the axle they are on otherwise it will fail an MOT and would be very unsafe!

As far as the van versions go, stick to the book I think... Niall_G will tell you when he gets back from Holidays :D Alright for some eh!
