Hi everyone
As you know I have had my JTD1.9 for three weeks now. Dont get out much at night. On Saturday returning home from a concert ( Call up the groups, but that another story) I had to use the headlights for the first time, in the center of the panel , at the top, we have the lights on indicater,Below that I was getting a green flashing rectanglular light ,intermittent, and only lit for a nano- second, I cannot find any reference in the book is this a feature??
Thanks
Clive::( :(

If you're a taxi driver then I understand your confusion.

Its a little light that shows you that your indicators are working.... obviously taxi drivers never see this.

Only joking......

I'll have a look at Mrs_G's van when she gets home and see if I can identify the light.

PS. Biker? Whatchagot?

To be honest I've never seen this light either

Then again I've got a million lights on my dashboard that never light up  *slight exaduration*

I'll have a look too :)

Well I've just had a look and as far as I can see there is no light between the 'lights on' light and the 'main beam on' light.

Mrs_G's Cargo JTDsx has an intersting handbook. In the book it shows a couple of designs of dash and then there is also a supplementary booklet that shows the type of dash actually fitted - I think this coincides with the change from 100 to 105 bhp - Mrs_G's is an early 105.

Is it possible that what you are seeing is not coming from the instrument cluster at all but is a reflection of something else in the car?

Are you able to post a picture of the light in question?

Bike Bit

Had my 1100RT for about 5 years now. Made quite a few mods so it realy suits our needs. We love it - great for holidays down through France but a bit too efficient at keeping the breeze off when you get down to the Med.

I'm tempted to get an 1150GS and take it a bit slower going down south but then getting the benefit of all that fresh air when we get there.

Do you use your K for holidays?

On the way back home....

That is interesting I dont have a Main beam on light apparently,I guess the flashing thing could be the main beam light on, that is not working properly, I will look into that tomorrow. ( I dont know how to add photos yet)
Bike bit;Not had a "holiday" since I took up skiing 20 years ago , I did go to the flying brick meeting in Bavaria 2005 first real ride on the bike, wonderful!!!
Maybe we should talk more on the other page ,Ossie will not like this.

Biker1941,

I suspect that this could be an optical illusion. When I am driving the wifes Doblo at night, particularly on unlit roads, I sometimes think I can see a green light as I transfer my gaze from the instruments cluster to the road. Fo a while it drove me potty, but now I just ignore it.

Funnily enough I have the same thing, sometimes I think I've left the indicator on as I can see something in the corner of my eye. Not happened recently though but I think it may be light escaping from the bulb behind one of the counters as it only happens at night (ie. when the lights are on and it's dark).

Although it seems that Biker1941 was sure he saw a distinctive shape light emitting from the dash so it might be different :)

I have owned my Doblo for 3 weeks now and every night I have driven home from work, in the dark, trying not to crash whilst looking for "the flashing green light".
Yes it is an illusion. You only see it when you look at the illuminated dash and then as you look away it appears for a moment. Look back and it's gone. That's magic and also very annoying.
On the subject of bikes, having onwed and ridden many for the last 40+ years. let's have more on the forum. It an interesting diversion from the Doblo.
 Last bike I owned was a 900SS Ducati I only bought it for the fantastic exhaust note.

I started thinking I was getting paranoid but I seen it too!!! :p
