The light for the heater plugs is flashing on my dash after car has started. It does this for 60 secs. Checked in manuel and it says take to auth garage. Does anyone know why it is doing this , is it just a case of the heater plugs need to be replaced.

I was led to believe that the glo-plug lamp does this when there is either a fault in the glo-plug circuit or with at least one glo-plug itself.
Depending on there life, i.e. mileage and the number of cold starts etc - i'd start by checking the 'plugs - one will be duff... though there may be other thoughts from those expert at swinging a spanner?

Mine has done this since 20k miles, and the garage never fixed it. It would have bothered me but for the fact it starts and runs very well. My JTD is now upto 72k miles and still has the light flashing about 1 in 10 starts, so i wouldn't worry about it myself.
