Hello all

I have a lhd Doblo Cargo 2006. Great van. Unfortunately the mirror got hit by another vehicle and needs replacing. I can see where to find the bolts to remove the mirror but haven't figured out where to disconnect/reconnect the electric wiring. Any advice would be much appreciated.

I've just finished replacing the driver's mirror on my Doblo van. I'm not a mechanic by any means but I did it in about 30 minutes. Only tools needed were a screwdriver and an Allan type key, star type.

Start by removing the screw holding the mirror adjusters, the cover clips off with a bit of jiggling, take it off of the electrical connector. You will see two Allen screws behind the cover. The other two screws are behinds the rubber grommets in the door frame. Remove the four screws and the mirror comes free, just held on now by the electrical connector.

Separate the electrical connector, a small flat head screwdriver is useful for this, and remove the mirror completely. Fitting the new mirror is a matter of just reversing what you did to remove the other one. (Note. Do not forget to fit the new rubber mountings around the wing mirror 'legs' )

Cost to me for doing this, including delivery, was about 42€/£38. A VERY big saving and having it done by a garage. A very simple job anyone can do. :)
