Hi - My 54 Doblo Cargo has fully working central locking however the key is pretty iffy in the barrel so thought a way around this might be to find and fit a decent remote kit - if they exist?

Does anyone else have prior experience of retro-fitting remote central locking into a Doblo Cargo of my vintage, please?

Hi Devonutopia, I have just ordered one of theses last night. I have a 2006 doblo, but have only the plain key. The original never come with the van. I am going to hopefully be fitting it next weekend

Thanks. Can I assume a 2006 is one of the newer ones? Mines a JTD 54 reg which I think is one of the latter of the older Doblos.

I have fitted one to my '03 reg ELX car, when the remote key stopped working. I imagine the procedure would be similar on the Cargo. If you have central locking then you only need the remote control box, not a full kit.
I bought a unit from UltimateCarParts for around £21(!) and it has worked faultlessly for about three years now.
I connected into loom on the left of the passenger footwell but had to run a couple of wires across to the fusebox / drivers door area, if I remember correctly.

All the wires in the loom are very thin and even the red scotchlock connectors struggle to make a good connection, but it is possible.

I'm in the same boat as fiatnewbie12, have bought a kit from Amazon and need to fit it.

It looks fairly straight forward. I plan on documenting the whole thing and make a post here. Just waiting on a couple expendables to arrive.

Mines all fitted mate. Works fine.

Do you have a link to your kit please? I might take a punt on it.

And yes, the central locking works fine for everything off either door barrels.
