So there I was, yesterday, driving up to Nuneaton and to start with all was fine... however, about 60 miles into the journey I noticed that the power seemed to fade.

After struggling to overtake a few slow lorries I tried to open her up and found that I couldn't get the revs over 3500 even with the clutch depressed!

Thankfully, a quick stop in a layby and literally all I did was turn her off, wait 30 seconds and then start her up again and she was a right as rain - revved her arse off and plenty of poke again.

No idea what the issue was though. This happened before to my other half a couple of years ago when we were on holiday in Devon, but hasn't happened since as far as I can tell. Anyone have any suggestions as to what was wrong? It feels like an ecu issue and effectively 'rebooting' it did the trick.

Possible EGR? May just be a bit clogged/dirty. Switch off and on (with plenty of revs) will fix temporarily. Otherwise there are plenty of threads with cleaning etc on them. Have a search.
