Any other "Mobile Office" Doblos out there? Surely someone else has twigged that the high-roof Doblo's unique dimensions make it ideal for use as a mobile office vehicle?

After running Ford Transit mobile offices for my mobile photo & document scanning service http://scan-van.co.uk I switched to high roof Doblos. Just fit a desk in the back and hey presto! a mobile office that is easy to manouvere & park (unlike transit panel vans - which have less roof height anyway), is cheap to run; is not a commercial vehicle (so can do 70mph on minor roads). Plus I still have 5 seats when taking the famly out. If I have luggage I just put the suitcases on top of the desk and secure them with belt ratchet straps (£5 a pair from Ikea).

The only other vehicle that comes close is the Ford Tourneo Connect (as far as I know, but I'd be interested to hear of others that have rear seats that fold up like the Doblo). The VW Caddy Life doesn't have enough roof height.

I reckon there is no other unadapted vehicle out there that is as short but has enough roof heigh to install a desk in the back. So why isn't every mobile office a high roof Doblo?

I think you will find that the Doblo is classed as a commercial vehicle, so i would watch your speed.

Doblo Cargos are commercial vehicles, but I use Doblo Dynamic Passenger vehicles with rear seats and blacked-out windows, so not a problem.

60 MPH on any lesser road than a motorway or dual carriageway not 70, unless the limit is even less, notified by the relative signs.

Remember too that the gross weight has to be under the limit for you to drive at "car" speeds as the Doblo MPV is based on a van chassis, so the above from Myles is correct.
The top models actually are just about on the limit, so when you are loaded up you could well be over it.

That would be the 2 tonne limit. See the plate under the bonnet, older ones were 1910kg :) (y) :slayer:
