Hi all, posted a similar thread earlier and it didn't come up, not sure if there is a newbe filter or I did something wrong so apologise if it a duplicated thread. Anyway, I bought a 58 plate Doblo High Roof 1.9 Mulijet 3 weeks ago and I am lovin it. I wasn't the sort or car I would have looked at by choice but due to personal circumstances (see link in sig below) I Needed a WAV for my Son and a new job so this ex mobilty car with low milage seemed just perfect. I was a self employed driving instructor but since my Son got meningitis in 2007, planning my work weeks ahead became impossible and some weeks it was costing me £250+ NOT to go to work because of having to cancel tests etc. So after passing my knowledge test, buying my Doblo, getting it signwritten and having a meter etc fitted I'm now just waiting for my CRB check (5 weeks now!) to be able to start work as a Taxi driver...... This is ideal for me as u can work when I have the time and it doesn't cost me if I'm at hospitals etc with Ed. I've only done 800 miles in it so far without finding any faults but I'm sure something will crop up as the miles pile on so will be picking your brains at some point in the future? So there you have it, a brief into of myself to the Doblo guys & gals out there.....
Cheers :) Steve

you have a brave son good luck. as a taxi & wheelchair car they are ok. good luck on the taxis as over the last decade its died a death but you can but try. on the crb my last 1 took 2 weeks but my school escort waited 8 weeks. it's like a lottery when it comes & some councils don't allow you to work when you are waiting for its renewal. so its best to check it out with your council not that they usually give a poop

Cheers Brian, I don't need to make a killing with the taxi-I can only make a profit of £95 a week with carers allowance so it's more of make enough to pay for the cab and a few extra quid a week as the wife still gets time off ( goes to work).
