Doblo rear door mechanism

Rear door has been playing up for a while.
Now it won't open from the outside.
After removing the trim and lubricating everything it still doesn't work. What i can't understand is how when you pull the rear handle to open the door what mechanism pushes down onto the rod mechanism to open it up.
The part that moves when you pull the handle doesn't come into contact with anything. This is the liitle metal finger attached to the spring.
The door opens fine with the interior handle.

Re: Doblo rear door mechanism

the short rod that acts on the horizontal (n/s door) is seized, move it forcefully with pliers etc while lubricating it and it willmeventually free off allowing contact to be made.....trust me!
Thanks Poperon, topcat5 thanked for this post

Where is the 3mm allen key bolt located.
Is it inside a round piece.

It moves with the key in the back door, but nothing when trying to lock using the drivers door as per normal.

Re: Doblo rear door mechanism

Spooky or what?

Getting Mrs_G's Doblo ready to sell and it has the same problem (twin doors, will only open from inside). Will be following the advise above.

Cheers Chaps, will report back.

Thumbs up Re: Doblo rear door mechanism

All done!

The tiny little metal clip that hold the inner handle on to the shaft had me going for a little while though. Pushed it up from below using a thin flat screwdriver then was able to slide the handle off the shaft.

Removed the inner handle mechanism (2 hex socket bolts) and could then see how its meant to work. WD40 freed it all up followed by some general oil.

Thanks for the advise T.
