Hi all,

new to this group, my 02 diesel doblo judders badly at around 1500rpm doing 30mph. It is fine once you change up or accelerate up to 2000rpm.
Any pointers would be great, thanks in advance.
John

Don't know the answer, but have experienced this. Can someone with more knowledge please give an answer.

Interested in this one myself as my Punto 1.9 n/a diesel does the same. Sometimes it is worse than others but it is very difficult to make it happen. It is like a spot on the accelerator pedal, coinciding with a certain speed and certain revs (dunno what the engine speed is as it has no rev counter)

What are throttle tracks? Are they a potentiometer type thing on the accelerator or is it another name for a throttle position sensor? Is it easy / cheap to replace or repair?

Cheers,

Rich

hi, i have an '08 cargo and mine does this but at about 1200 - 1300rpm which is about 30mph in 4th gear. I found the way to stop it juddering is to change down or to ever so slightly lift your foot off the accelerator and the revs seem to recover and then the van either accelerates or needs a little bit of throttle to make it speed up. It is possible to go from 0 - 35 on tickover in my van (1.3D) without touching the throttle at all ( takes a while to get there mind) so dont know either why it should judder when at low revs. Thats just doblo's for you.....

I've started getting this same judder at 1500 rph/30mph in my 53 1.9D. It seems to be related to the red engine management light coming on afterwards. I've tried using a fuel additive in case it is something to do with the injector jets being clogged. It will be going into the garage soon for an oil change so I'll mention this problem in case it is something serious.

check codes and check fuel filter when last changed

could be boost coming in off on turbo

or egr needing cleaning

dreaded 1.9D ...need codes read (and confirmed!) by good Fiat dealer but be prepared for the worse!

not really unless they are used to the Fiat set up of the doblo. Rotor position sensor fault can be one of a few things, some expensive some not so it will need to be proven 100%.

personally over the years I have seen/had enough issues with the lucas epic systems to steer well clear of them.
