I am shopping around for my first fiat Doblo, I am a drummer so I need the serious cargo space! And also I believe the Doblo is just cooler than its berlingo/kangoo/partner rivals.

My budget however is a humble £2.5k, I have been told to be wary of mileage as our beloved Dobbies get used as taxis so much.

But then, how do we know that a seemingly low mileage Doblo hasn't been 'round the clock?

Also- am I in dreamland hoping I will find a reliable Doblo in this price range (they seem to be out there)- mostly 1.9 deisel jobbies?

Hi,
I've had my little 1.9 dob for a few months now and i paid £1700 with 102k on the clocks from ebay. since then its cost me about £200 in parts to service and get it through an mot.
The only thing i dont like is that its soo slow, try and get a turbo model.
make sure you get to start it from cold to check the glow plugs are ok.
the glow plug light will flash for a minute after starting if there is a fault.
New plugs fitted by a garage will prob be a couple of hundred quid.

If you don't want the taxi then the cargo versions seem to be a tad cheaper = only 2 seats so you can't ferry loads of folk about and your £2.5k should buy a much more recent 1.9 jtd
