Hi, All
2002 Doblo jtd elx rear door (both) Child proof locks
I cannot open the rear doors from the inside !:bang:
Accordingto the handbook (page 60 fig 111) they can be enabled or disabled by inserting the ignition key a little way into the outside of the lock and turning through 90 degrees to the horizontal position to disable or vertical position to enable,
But when I do this nothing turns, However deep the key is inserted !
I have given the lock a good squirt of WD40 to no avail,
Has anyone got any clues,
Does a child need to do this ?
As it's got me stuffed,:worship:
Asked the kiddie next door to try and he could not do it either!!!!!

are you putting the ignition key into the child locks on the inside edge of the rear doors?
It's just a little black plastic slot which turns, it doesn't look like a proper lock.

Hi, RichDoblo 120(y)
Thanks for the info, Job Done,
I searched all over the doors and finally found the required slot, It turned out to be on the rear of the rear door, a 6mm grey raised head, disguised as a rivet or bolt with a little slot/indentation for the tip of the key,

It may be something to do with the aerodynamics, of the flying brick:bang:
Now where did I leave my glasses:D

no problem (y)
it is very hard to spot if you haven't seen it before as it doesn't look anything like something you'd put the key into, it just looks like part of the structure of the door, as you said.

Yea whoever drew that diagram in the handbook was laughing there heads off,
The arrow was showing the door lock on the outside,(n)
Better not believe the rest of the book, Or Comic;)
Thanks
