iam have a problem starting my new doblo 120 only 2 weeks old. i have noticed that the glow plug light only stays on for only 1 or 2 seconds at most.could any one help me solve this anoying problem,and could this be the problem it is not starting many thanks john h

In the COLDEST weather Mrs O's only stays on for about 4 secs!

On my Punto 1.7 Van I do the glow plus 2-3 times when its really cold. Once just is not enough as it tried but no joy After doing it 3 times it starts straight away. Its been the same since Ive had the van even after new glow plugs.
Some diesel engines take a bit more starting when cold its normal I would say unless it does it when its warm too.

My glowplugs only stay on for about 2 seconds, even in really icy weather, but it always starts instantly 
I always wait until the 'check' warning and the flashing passenger-air-bag lights go out before starting.

Glad I have a nice warm dry garage with a storage heater keeping the ambient up - starts better from cold than hot
