![]() | K&N Air Filter - NOT the go faster job! Mrs_G's Doblo gets a 12,000 miles service every 6 weeks. And every 6 weeks a clean looking air filter gets thrown in the bin. Looking at cutting down on this waste I'm considering fitting a K&N replacement air filter. According to their web site the filter is at least as good as the original with the added benefit of being able to clean it at regular intervals. Does anyone have any 'real world' experience of these?

![]() | Re: K&N Air Filter - NOT the go faster job! They're supposed to be pretty good Niall. We sell those in work (as well as the sporty ones) and people find it cheaper in the long run to clean them rather than put new ones in all the time.

Both are used with a prefilter which are not required on a car but are essential with the dust and dirt on a speedway track. Cared for, they last for years.

Also has a spooling device inside to really turn the air. i have many good results with this, i had to remove all the old unit and its open air. ALL THE OLD HOUSING AND PIPING WERE REMOVED.

As for maintenance, just pull it out from the manifold, give it a good high pressure blow from my mate's workshop, reoil it and feels good as new.
