does anyone know what code of gearbox is in a 2005 jtd 150 6 speed, im looking to swap the drivers driveshaft for the vectra c to eliminate the wobble these cars get.
the vectras use a f40 or m32, one shaft has 20 splines the other 23, its been in at a italian specialist and he cant find the gm code?
ive rang fiat up, no software they have indicates as to which code the box is.

seems nobody want to or recommend putting vectra parts on though the shafts are supposed to be a big improvement eliminating the wobble.

why do fiat like to do everything awkward, and why cant i find a mechanic thats want to help me get the best and most cost effective solution for my car.

i have looked on here and it looks like the 8v 120 bhp uses the m32, but cant find anything on the 16v

My manual says that the M32 is used on both 1.9 6v &16v (32 equates to designed torque limit of 320Nm.
All those with chipped engines ought to know this before doing it I reckon!!

Check back in the "driveshaft" thread and read what Chris has said about Spline teeth.

I'm afraid I can't offer any help, but please please update us to say how you go in, as I'm in exactly the same boat - I've spent a fortune getting mine refurbed and it's crap, plus it spews its grease out every few months.

Mine's the exact same engine and gearbox, so would love to know how you get on with it, part nos etc. I'll volunteer to be the second test pilot.
