Anyone driving to mitcar want to convoy up. I get on at j21 but we could meet anywhere up to j29 and I know there's a few people from around here and a bit further south such a coventry

Id like to get quite a few of us as this would look awesome all the way up the m1

Any suggestions on meeting points are welcome and let's get the ball rolling

I will be heading up in the FF Van from J15 .....

seems good to me Sam ,as you already knwo im on j29 myself so im up for meeting anyone on the m1 services heading towards mitcar, itd be great if we all sorted this now so its all sorted for the day instead of leaving it until last minute and thats when it'll get messed up! so if anyone has a personal perference for an m1 services then say it and we can all then say yes or no simple as that, and then once we've all met up we can decide who'll be the leader to the main meet up point, hopefully me as its my last event:devil:

p,s i just had a text from the police telling the third party details who damaged my car, so now the car will be sorted and not out of my own pocket!:slayer: - see you all at mitcar!

I thought you were at j26 and we could all meet somewhere or we could do what we did at the Notts meet and a few meet up then go to meet more then drive to wherever. I up for anything though just thought I'd get the ball rolling

The plan at the moment is that I'll be driving up in the Mk2 Panda (unless bits of me have stopped working again -- in which case, I shall be in the Punto); and Mrs homeward and the homewardette will be in the Mk3: joining the M1 at 23A (after coming up the M42/A42): so I'm more than happy to fit in with whatever you folks decide!

I can get on a the fosse park Juction 21, Markfield j22 or shepshed/Loughborough at j23

There are a few easy to find places in Loughborough and surrounding areas aswel such a supermarkets etc

im prety sure they are services alog that stretch but names i dont know for me when i use m1 when i see services i just pull in without looking at the name im just interested getting a bite or something else

if you find a services thatd be easy for us all then let me know

I'm just trying to think of somewhere like half way up there that we can all meet to save time waiting for people like me and Wisey did for the Notts meet. We were about an hour late in the end.

Anywhere upto j29 where we can all pull in off the m1 where we'll be in the right direction. If we have a few stop offs to meet people the chances of us getting the meeting point for everyone at the right time will be very slim so if we could all meet at a services nearish to around j26 or somewhere around there we should be alright and we should have quite a few of us which would be awesome. If you have a quick Google later and let us know that would be great and we can go from there then.

Had a quick read, but haven't the time (or patience) right now to fandangle about working it all out now. In short - i'm a dab hand at convoy's haha. IMHO it works best if more people meet in one place and head off together, or maybe two places if the initial point is to far south for people closer to it.

From the initial interest, maybe Tibshelf services on the M1 would be worthwhile. benny279 you should be very familiar with this one, i've met you there a fair few times on previous events. Its quite central to everyone, and we can pinpoint another location further up if needs be.

The important thing for these sort of convoys, is DON'T be late. Set off early, get to the meet point well in advance of the planned time, as delays really do delay. Getting more than 4 cars together for a convoy can be an absolute joke at times.

Yeah we don't want to be waiting again do we James haha. I was thinking a services in the m1 as the start place as this will just save time for everyone and keep us on time

Wisey i had a look at the tibshelf services, thats a good place as its between j28 and j29 and it looks like there is a lot of room for us to meet up. also it should be northbound enough so that nobody will have to drive back on themselves to meet us all. im up for doing it there.

also does anybody know where the meeting places before we go to hardwick hall, tesco or somewhere similar perhaps? nothing been posted on original thread yet its its getting closer
