Ok guys we've been having a little discussion in the events management section about the convoy arrangements for this years MITCAR and decided that for this show we won't be organising an official fiat forum convoy 
This is primarily for two reasons. Number one (and the main reason) is that we are respectfully short staffed this year and unlike Stanford we don't have the luxury of the day before to build the marquee and set up the shop as it were ready for everyone to arrive so it all has to be done on the day and need all hands to the pump so nobody really has the time to disappear off and meet everyone at a set place and guide them in. The second reason is that fiatforum convoys are getting increasingly difficult to manage - as we found out on Stanford day. Once upon a time we only had, like 15 cars turn up on a convoy. Now it's more like 50. Trying to keep 50+ cars together on the road and then park them up nicely around a tent without causing a fuss is tight work and it doesn't help when people dissapear early and catch the guys at the show off guard leading to a misshapen display. Not much of a problem at Stanford where there's space but MITCAR tends to be in smaller locations so we need to pack the cars in nicely and this is soooo hard when everyone turns up at the same time.
That's not to say convoys aren't welcome it's just we (the events team) can't organise one this year so if you really want to convoy in then perhaps either set one up as a whole amongst your selfs or just have smaller ones starting off in your respective areas from where your coming from and just head straight in. All we're saying is that the show opens at 10.30am and we'll all be there to greet you and park you all up
