laptop connections have 3 pins normally, power, charge and ground. if the charge wire is not connectiing properly then it won't charge the battery

laptop batteries dont last long, you'll most likely need a new battery if the laptop is a bit old.,
if you use your laptop indoors a lot you should remove the battery and just power it off the charger, that way the battery wont be damaged by over charging.,.,

i did think the battery was finnished but the test says its fine, the charging light on the front comes on most of the time but goes off sometimes, will get it soldered soon but the battery must be finnished only £20 for a new 'un

tried the battery sync facilty in windows and it gets to 33% then goes no further, left it for 24 hours or more and it doesnt get anywhere, is this a sign that the battery is dead, i know its only like £25 but it's a lot to a student
