Technical straight through exhaust

i've done a search, but never seem to find what i'm looking for, or, there is a thread but doesn't answer what i need, lol

right,

i'm thinking of doing my back box as straight through, so it'll be...

mani, cat, flexi and mid box, the pipe.

has anyone done this before? any running issues? performance gains or losses? mot?

i've got a sporting by the way.

So what you mean is not having a back box at all, I presume. Nothing to stop you doing it on the emissions front, the cat will take care of that, however, you will only get the benefit at very high revs, and you will lose torques.

so basically i need the back box for my back pressure then. for my low revs.

which is why at the min, i'm getting flat spots in low revs cos, its blowing like a mo-fo from where the back section joins on?

what about if you dont have a cat or mid box?? how does that affect backpressure???

my exhaust has no cat or mid box, but does have a back box, it passed its mot fine, is very noisey ( about 119Db) but to be honest, and i hate being honest, ive lost back pressure. but then again that does depend on the bore of the exhaust, @2" s mines is too big for the lack of tuning.

yes from the engine back, ( inc the down pipe)

ever have trouble with police? im having de-cat, 2 inch straight through to back box and i cant wait to get it fitted and hear it

women never do but if u have a lump between ur legs ur fooked if it aint standard... my bandit for instance LOUD AS A LOUD THING IN LOUD TOWN ON A LOUD DAY ive been pulled more times since fitting the end can than i did in 4 years of riding previously and the wierd bit is the can is actually ROAD LEGAL... everytime the first line from the rozzers is i heard you... then had trouble catching you.... that made me laff the last time it happened cos i was behind an artic on a single lane dual carriage way obviously those t5's aint as quick as they make out cos i dont do silly speeds in town

i had an art can for a while on my gsxr was noisey as hell, n not road legal, but still never got pulled, must have been the blonde pig tails out the side of the helmet lol!
