Take one Cinq Sporting won't start: Keycode light on: Fuel relay clicking like mad see(https://www.fiatforum.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=9167)
Take second Cinq Sporting running fine
Remove ECU, key code sensor, and Imobiliser, from one fit same to second, leaving key code sensor connected to immobiliser but loose in footwell. Place Key from One in middle of sensor on floor
Start car with own key: Car runs fine (so ECU Sensor and immobiliser not at fault)
Remove fuel relay from One fit to Second: Car still runs fine (so not a faulty relay)
Scratch Head (running out of possibilities now, perhaps a wiring fault). Perhaps Take to Fiat for a Diagnostic??? Tow? Expense?
Refit all parts back to original cars
and

Both Cars now run fine.
Seriously this happened two weeks ago and the car has started first time every day since. Thinking it through there is a possible explanation - there was one fault that the mechanic found and fixed earlier (a bad connection in the main loom connector). But even though the ECU had been disconected and left for an hour or so the Key Code fault would not clear. May be that the immobiliser IC got into a loop or may be there was another bad connection thatwas sorted by the removal or replacement.
I think I prefer to believe it's that old Cinquencento Magic
