Just been towed home by the AA. :(

Pulling up to traffic lights and depressed my clutch.
The cluch pedal hit the floor coupled with a bang.
I could not put it in gear and the pedal did not come back up, it was stuck on the deck.

After about 40 mins of being stuck at the side of the road the AA turned up.

His report says 'suspect clutch lever system'.
He said that the cable was not snapped.

Has anyone had any experience with this.
How much will it cost me to get fixed?? (y)

Thanks

As above. Your clutch cable has snapped, but an easy cheap part to replace and fix.

It is a weak point on a cento, so it may be best to buy a spare also as they are prone to breaking.

cost wise, if you do it yourself, just the purchase price of the part. (about 20-25 quid delivered from shop4parts)

At an independent garage maybe about 50 quid - 70 quid depending on your location

thank you for everyones help.
it was the cable, sod what the AA bloke said!! :p

there is a hook halfway down the cable and that had sheared off!!

so i am back on the road and it cost me £20 for the part and £20 to get a mate to fit it!!

thanks again!! :worship:

Sometimes the triangle breaks as can the little bar linking the clutch pedal to the big bar across the car although these are more rare occurences.
