Car died on me (a clutch/gear thing) and been Sat idle for a while and I'm gunna get it sorted now.
Thing is been that busy and had use of a friends car for last 2 month I not started it!
Therefore battery is flat!
How do I get the battery out to charge it before I get friend to take it to garage?
I have tried in the last week but what with dark evenings and wind n rain round my ears I give it up as a bad job!
Anyone help me out there?

There should be 2 10mm bolts and a bracket that go over the top of the battery. Loosen both off, and undo one completely and swing the bracket out of the way. Disconnect the negative battery terminal, then the positive terminal. Pull the wires out the way, then hey presto its ready for removal :) Should just lift/slide out of the tray then.

If you loosen both of about 10 turns you can push the bracket down and then turn the nearside hook to unhook it, you can then remove the whole bracket assembly, a lot less time that undoing all of one side. Also you might have to twist the battery through 45 degrees vertically and horizontally depending on what cables and tubes you have in that area.
