I got a soldering iron...a decent one with a stat in it. also got a multi meter, but i get confused using them:rolleyes: ill get me dad to help

Cheers for the offer with the stimulator(y). i might take it up...ill see how it all goes once i get the bits

Yeah, so it's either weld spigots for the 4 injectors on the existing manifold and put together a fuel rail or bolt a complete 75 head on. I'd thought about 16valve, but maybe for a later evo of this one. I think 140 crank should be possible with the 8 valve head and that may be more than I can handle without some moderately sophisticated traction control!
 
Some photos from my custom made harness.

I used a dummy box, so i can dismount it anytime, to change connections when needed, or add more wires. Already included spares for serial batch injection, COP, A/C clutch, boost control, carbon canister etc.

Switch included to change from NB to WB if needed (testing or WB failure). MS also controls WB controller's power and there is also an injector harness (not shown) for semi-serial (like Punto85) or full serial (like PuntoGT) injector driving.

4pin Din for power/ground/fuel pump/Aux12V

5pin for Coils/Injectors/+12V

and the rest are 6 7 and 8 pins for sensors/IAC and spares. Plus the fuses for MS and WB.
 
right im about to start my megasquirt this week just stuck on a few things.

first off all i need to get the loom to the standard install following the v3 diagram.

on the coils im what side of the coil goes to the ECU? the - or the +?

my ms2 v3 has been made for boost out, stepper motor driver, coil driver so should be able to control everything for the engine to run

anyone got the wireing diagram of what they found works for the fiat stepper motor? also the crank pos sensor?

also i have a wideband lamba, is only this required to be wired in doing away with old lamba or do both need to be wired in?

also where abouts does LC1 hav to be wired into?

coils, -ve goes to the ECU
lambda, bin the standard one. connect one of the analog outputs from the LC1 to the lambda input on MS.

Stock Cinq wiring for the stepper motor.

2 green idle controller Phase B
3 blue/yellow idle controller Phase D
20 blue/white idle controller Phase A
21 white idle controller Phase C
