Agreed, I didn't even bother with the hole in the cap.
And yes it went through an MOT like that.

The only reason for the hole, was that my tank was then presurising so heavily after long runs, it wouldn't start properly, and if you removed the cap, it chucked petrol out all over me and the floor. I'm sure not everyone will have that problem, but i certainly did, and the pin sized hole sorted it out :)

The tank used to pressurise, but LOADS less due to the soleniod and it wasn't an issue.

I think the whole vapor recovery system looks ugly and it def looks neater with none of it there at all. (y)

If you want it on Ms, you could easily drive it with the fiddle output :)

I thought most of the cinqs has a little breather in the cap anyway? Can't smell even a wiff of petrol around it anyhow so can't be too bad.

iirc I put that in the diagram with the intention of working some sort of icv. The lads are right, its not needed.

Nice to know that diagrams proving useful.

Cinqs have no breather in the cap. as its sealed which of course perish and leak after a while.

Ugly  you can't see it as its held up inside wheel arch, and has nice grey lines running along bulk head on top of strut and inside wing. Not hung off front off gearbox as on Cinqs/Sei SPi's. Yes you can run without it, but if that was a better solution then car manufacturers wouldn't bother with the expense of designing it and fitting it, they never waste money.

As said I personally would not have any fuel vapour escaping from my car, but each to there own :)

right the loom is through the bung on the passenger side and nearly all wired in on the engine, should be Fully wired in engine side of things tomorrow then i got to Redo my whole of the electrics inside the car for the screens, stereo, poppers, alarm, remote start and lots of other crap

thanks for the help so far guys been great just hope it fires up. anyone know where i can buy 2amp blade fuses? lowest i got is 5amp :(

Hi all,
Ive just read through the whole 21 pages of this, and i'm confused to say the least, i'm usually quite comfatable with things like this. I'm almost certain i want to go the MS route. My Cinq engine etc is standard but i will be wanting to tune it at a later date, first i want to get a MS installed and running, and so i have some questions.......

Who/Where can supply me with an assembled MS required to run the standard Cinq?
Or in component form if you can't get pre-assembled?

Iv'e seen the various kits on the MS website but there are so many options and verisons i dont know which one to get

If i decide to go turbo on SPI can it control an extra injector for fueling like the MF2 does or will i need to go MPI?

Thanks for your help

www.extraefi.co.uk or a guy called Bill Survington are prob te best people to buy kit form, or preassembled.

Your main choice is MS1 or MS2. There is a good comparison on the extraefi site :)

I'm running MS1 with some advanced code called MS-Extra Hi-Res, but firmwares are a thing you can change yourself. You need to decide on MS1 or MS2.

MS1 boards can easilly be updated to MS2 at a later date, so there no real problem choosing either.

You can drive spi and a second boost injector fine with MS1 extra. I haven't looked at MS2 too much.
