Is it possible to get the iaw59f.m1 ecu mapped to suit the 1.4 16v? i have seen people running this ecu but have had issues with errors and ecu flashing in the past so they either swap to a mk1 1.2 16v ecu or go standalone, i have done over 2k miles with the 16v engine with this ecu and have had no errors with it, spark plug colours indicate she is running a bit lean (obviously with the incorrect mapping) but apart from that no other issues

i'm no guru on this matter but as i understand it they can't be mapped in the traditional sense. But if you have all the kit you can pull the data off the chip, make changes and burn onto a new chip and then see how it goes, and again to make another change your making a new chip and swapping again. You can't stick it on a rolling road and read/edit the data live. What programs and hardware are required to do such a thing i don't know.

Thank you for the reply, from what i have seen there is software that allows you to virgin state and reset the immobiliser code using a combination of pins to connect to a computer software but im not sure if this same kit could be used to change the map on these ecus
