Dear fiatforum community,

The heater fans only blow at the highest settings, and the middle fans are not working at all for some reason. So searched online and found that it is most likely the heater resistor, now i am not sure of course (but please add some feedback/tips if i am missing something)

I really need some help with regards to replacing the heater resistor, in a Fiat seicento 2003 model. I already scanned through the forums and downloaded the technical pdf's, but in the technical docs those pages (related to auxiliary parts) are missing!

Where is the resistor located? Can someone snap a picture of post a drawing or something, so i can easily find out how to replace the thing?

Cheers!!!

On a Cinq it is on the underside of the blower motor housing, so you need to remove it to get to the resistor.
Not sure if a Sei has it in the same place.

Thanks for helping me out David,

But how do i access the blower motor housing??? (I'm Dutch maybe i did not fully understand lol). Also checked behind the carpet at the passenger side, can't seem to find it.... Could you snap a picture or something? Thanks...

Under the bonnet, remove the trim panel behind the engine and you'll see the heater unit in there.

Looks like one hell of job or can i access it without removing the entire panel?

It's so silly i can't a single example on the web (not in Dutch and not in English) on where to find the heater resistor... For most other models it seems easier to find.

Maybe someone with a Seicento can also chime in? lol...

Thanks again for helping me out...:worship:

I've found a pic of a Seicento heater.
It is easier than the Cinquecento, no need to remove the heater unit to get to the resistor, it is the green bit on the front of the heater in the attached pic.
You'll see it as soon as you remove the trim panel in the engine bay.

Mate i want to send you a Christmas card!!!! How the heck did you find that pic??? I wouldn't have found out where to look in a million years!!!

My first thought was to clean up the pins on the resistor, but i think i'll just order a brand new one and replace it...

I'll let you know how it all panned out... And maybe make a small guide for those who also need help figuring this out.

Can't thank you enough David!(y)(y)(y)(y)
