Firstly I'm really sorry for my crappy English. I'm spanish.
I got a Sei Suite 1998, that went runned out of battery. I tried to start the engine using another car and wires. Suddently the Keycode Item was ON, stilled the same way and coud'nt start the engine. I understood a reset in the ECU happened. The problem is that my Sei is a second hand one, and I have no master key nor Code card. I just have a blue key marked with a triangle and 2 circles, but no "2" on it. (It's a first generation one).
Is my Sei dead??? Please, it must be something to do better than changing all the injection system plus keylocks.
Thanks in advance. Really desperated.

It is actually possible to damage a car's electronics by jump starting, but it could be that the ecu needs a reset with the red key if the battery was totally dead - a good auto electrician should be able to advise you. Could just be a component failure though.

If your local Fiat dealers are friendly (There has to be a friendly one somewhere in the world!) they may be able to offer you some advice.

Other than that, you may need the new or 2nd hand ecu and red key.

Pete.

Disconnect the code ecu and fuel ecu for 24 hours and see if that helps.(code ecu at bottom of steering cowls.)If not you will have to either buy a new lockset, code ecu,and fuel ecu or Disconnect code ecu for good and get the fuel ecu decoded usually about £150

Thanks a lot guys.
The battery is dead for 15 days a go, so unplugging the ECU wont help ¿Isnit?¿Im I wrong?
I'm in touch with my FIAT dealer and a private auto electrician. Bad faces in both of them. We will see...

Not because battery been flat but when boosted of another car sometimes confuses code ecu.. anyway only a susgestion. Fiat coupe's do the same, and ducato's

It works!!! :) Using a battery full of charge, the ECU recognizes the key and it started this evening! I was wrong when thinked that reset in the ECU. It's easier: Code key doesnt work with a jump starting. FiatExpert was right!

Now I have to deal with the problem that I just have one "No Master" key and no Code Card... can resolve it by driving, at least!

Thanks Guys.
