As per title, I fitted the electric window switches to the door handles in my Cinq as I didn;t like where they were and whenever anyone got in my car unfamiliar with Cinq's always looked about puzzled to where the switch was.

Switchs mounted as seen from above and below.

Really good to do i wanted to do this to when i get my car back and will defo be doing it now looks really good just like it came from the factory like it.
Have you fitted the handles the other way round?

Looks good, I would deffinately do that. Just out of interest, where do the wires run from the switches? What route do they take?

I ran the cables through a small hole in the door card which is hidden behind the handle, then through the rubber cable holder that the power feed to the motor itself runs then spliced into the original wires at the back of the original switch, this way you have the switches light up as well when you turn the lights on, this was meade easier because I had a full car of spares and just cut out the wires from ones of them.

Tidy Aaron tidy!

I thought of this but would like to mount mines further forward when I get round to making those MDF cards for speakers.

the way I have done it means that I'm still utilising the original mounting holes and therefore there is no danger off pulling anything off if anyone pulls the door closed with to much vigor, which would be my concern if mounting the handles elsewhere.

Nice work :)

I can't reach the rear wiper buttons or stereo without leaning way out of my seat, you got any plans for those I could copy? :D

Emm, stereo??? get one with a remote!

Rear wiper, fit Sei stalks as you do it from those, which is something I may be looking at as my old Cinq has them, on first look theres is no diff under the plastic shrouds. just some rewiring to do, I'll see if I can be bothered.

Next, lol.

If you do look at removing your Sei-style stalks, could you post a quick "How To" guide as I couldn't see any way of removing them from my spare Cinq, please :)

They will come out, i just havn't looked yet at how, once I do I will try and take some pics and do a write up, if I ever get round to retor fitting them to the Imola is another matter.

TH sei stalks are very easy to remove, there is an allen bolt that opperates a clamp thats hold them in place around teh steering column, lossen & they just slide off once you have unplugged the 3 multi plugs.

The Cinq ones are held on with a bolt again on a clamp to steering column which slides off once you have removed all the spade connectors which is advisable that you label them all before pulling them all off.

I've not wired it up yet but the Sei stalks fit the Cinq steering column no problem as there appears to be no diff to the actual columns, the only diff is that the ignition barrel is in a slightly diff place therefore you need to cover the original hole with a suibtable large rubber grommit and then cut a new hole which is easy enough to do.

I have only trial fitted it so once i get time to do it properly I'll take pics and post up on a separate thread.

Ok, I started doing my leccy window switch mod today. Instead of soldering every individual wire on I going to go down the the scrap yard and get hold of two wire looms and just clip the wires in. Ill get some pics when its finally done...
