Check at the gearbag end that the outer cables are propely secured in firm brackets. Cheers D

OP OP J jayzc New member Joined Feb 20, 2011 Messages 5 Points 2 Feb 26, 2011 #3 well iv had a chance to look into this, 2 of the 3 m8 bolts that secure the gear lever in had snapped. now all 3 have snapped : (( luckily it was out side my house having just returned from the mot station.
