This from a PL forum, the thing is not fully finished yet (proper mapping and engine bay cleanup still to be done), but the car started and rotates. The forum itself needs registration, but here is a photo gallery:

I also noticed I was right about turbo water cooling (discussed in another thread) in t-jets - from the turbine it goes back to the water pipe before the pump...

will be a beast.

t-jet though essentially is just a turbo 16v engine. surprised he didnt make a custom mani and move the snail further down so its easier to place. similar possision as a 8v turbo

I honestly cannot speak for the guy, mostly because he basically posted the pics and the fact that it runs. My guess for not moving the turbo is to retain all the piping - water cooled oil heat exchanger and water cooled turbo, plus turbine oil feed and all. What is going to be an issue is the turbine just underneath the bonnet, speculation is that that paintwork will give up pretty soon... Anyhow, from what I understand the short term plan after making it run properly and doing some testing is to replace the turbo with something more substantial.

id jusr put a scoop on, paint will be ok then and extra flow. but i suppose your right with pipework.

would like to see it completely finished

Oooh I like knowing something you guys don't :D. unfortunately it's not in the UK.

Apprently that is the result of over 1200 hours of work.

Personally they ruined it by sticking a mild audio build in :D.

I've been asking if they would be interested in manufacturing the rear ARB, and those heater matrix's look tidy enough for me to want one.

Thanks

Well, sort of. FIAT's attempts to get much more than 140bhp out of the NA 1.4 16v engine led to rod failure, so at the very least the rods and pistons are different. I'd be interested to know if there are any other mods -- valves/guides/crank, etc.

An easy 180bhp is there, just a bigger turbo and a remap. At least 3 of us in the UK have been talking about it, but the 1.4 16v turbo engine costs a lot of money at the moment.

I thought about it but I can safely say any more then 150 in a cento is totally pointless.
jason has iirc 170 and cant keep hes in a stright line... mine has... not sure but at least 150 and even with atb and good tyres, the car can spin up on demand 3rd.

having a t-jet cento is nothing more then a car for pub talk and melting tyres. and unless it has a diff I know my car would kill it at anything other then top end speed (dont mean to sound like a cock lol) just because it will be over powered.

If you want a very high power cento that is more then just a number... then imho it needs rear wheel drive...

oh yeh it has different pistons and obviously a different compression ratio, im sure it has a differant crank aswell but im unsure.

either way you got what i ment. getting a t-jet to work in a cento would be the same as a tub 16v. as thats all it is really.

i thought about doing the t-jet as there was one cheap and i figured why not but decided to leave it and use the money for a house :)

FYI, both Sei-s by now run fine and regularly take part in 1/4 mile drags. (There are even some movies on youtube, but not public I am afraid). The current best time of the first Sei is

13.276

and the second one

13.54

(That is, the uglier looking one is better making the owner of the second one not a very happy chap ;)).

Both owners constantly modify and develop them and we should expect a 12.XX any day now (or a milled g-box or broken shafts :D :D).

And, on the subject, there is also a French T-jet Sei:

The RR movie is especially entertaining ;)
