Just wondering how to remove the tappets on a 899cc cinq?

Assuming- take the TB off, then the rocer cover,

The rocker arm?

thats when i dont know what to do...

The rocker arms are on a rocker shaft, that shaft being retained by 4 bolts into the head. Gently unwind each bolt a few turns, in turn, so that the shaft rises with the pressure from the springs. As each tappet comes loose, wrap in masking tape to stop bits disappearing.

if you have eight new ones, you can just push them out from the top.
if not...there is a circlip holding it in from the top.

Im lost..

Are the tappets within the springs? only small things arent they?

There are 8 tappets and 8 rocker arms, with each tappet inside each of the rocker arm.

The rocker arm is connected by the rocker shaft.

There is a retaining clip (circlip type things) that slots onto the top of the rocker arm which stops the tappets from falling off.

If someone is wanting to buy tappets from you. Tell them to just buy the whole assembly is less hassel that way for both buyer and seller.
