Hi guys and gals

Right, as some of you may remember, i was on about buying the apex suspension kit for my sei. Well, i split with my g/f on thursday and decided that i had a damn good reason to treat the only little girl in my life.

So, 215 quid lighter, and come wednesday i will have the apex kit. Soooo question is, to those who have them, does the set come ready assembled, or am i gonna need a spring compressor?

Doesnt matter either way, but would be nice to know beforehand!

Oh, a small point, im taking the Sei to the motoring heaven that is the nurburgring this summer! Thought the suspension might help. So, once again, if any one sees any abarth wheels for sale........... lol Has anyone on here been there? I cannot believe how much im looking forward to it

Guess i need to buy meself a set of compressors then. Least i know Loads of fun next weekend fitting those then.

As for the nordscleife, yes, how good is that? At the moment its me, my mate in his ignis sport, who had the idea in the first place, and finally, fulfilling the f-ing quick category, another mate in either his 250 bhp rover tomcat turbo, or his 270-ish bhp MR2 turbo. lucky bastard has too much cash, and i dont think ill be able to persuade him to let me borrow one for the week!

Ill be getting a ride with him though!

brilliant kit and long lasting or so i thought

took my front wheels off the other day and the front shocker units are rusty and the paint flacking off very disapointed because i brought them for quality and there lacking but they make the car handle like it should off from factory

Have you ordered the kit from fastfiat? if so, you won't get it on Wednesday!

do one shock at a time, dont mix up the top caps, they are diffrent for each side.

I think 8 euros £5 or so a lap isn't bad.

i went through £300 in one weekend and still got lost half way round fantastic track you even get people doing 30-40 round it taking in the view amazing place, get there early though cause it gets rearly busy specialy in the summer i think it opens at 8am?? just join the que and kick tyres for 20 mins then your off do it once then again and again and again trust me you wont be able to stop!!!!

surfin fella, i got it from www.tuning.co.uk, and it arrived today. I now have a suspension kit sat on my bed as i am messing around with it at the moment!

dave, thanks for the tip. I was gonna do 1 at a time, purely coz i only have 1 set of compressors, which i picked up on the way home, along with a cinq haynes manual so i could have proper torque settings. Am i right in thinking that most major things, ie engine, running gear etc are exactly the same between the cinq and spi sei?

lol @ ringworm alert i hope i shall have it by june or july this year.

Two small questions. 1) the rear springs. How exactly do i get them out? the manual says i need a trolley jack. 2) front shocks. I can see why i need a set of compressors to remove the old spring from old shock, but cant see why i need one to fit new spring to new shock, as the damping rod seems to be long enough to fit the top plate with the spring being barely compressed. This may just be me looking at it wrong, but im confused.

Ooooh Kayyy, i've just read the haynes manual, and seen that the top assembly is rather large, lol, the whole assmembly is considerably 'thicker' than i thought it would be. so i answered 2) myself. Any help where 1) is concerned would be greatly appreciated though

Remove the rear shocker bolts and the rear arm will swing loose allowing you to take out the old spring.

How did the ring go? What did you get round in? I managed 12.33 in the mini and managed to be the first on the track one morning!
