[counts fingers]...Only the 269th time asked? :D

Can be done. But needs major major work

New engine mounts needs making (well one at least), and fixing to car
Driveshafts need altering to fit (Std Cinq Sporting ones may not handle silly power)
Loom needs ripping out and replaing with loom from Punto GT with mods made for Cinq instruments and other stuff.
ECU needs swapping over, immobiliser issues too..

Its certainly not impossible by a long shot, just exceptionally difficult!!

i was just thinking that i think you need to more or less modify ur front end for it to fit?

I read somewhere it can be as bad as having to rip the wings off and do some serious fettling to get the engine in there

Then theres the problem of making the electronics work, and transmitting lots of Italian Ponies to the wheels!

Personally, Id say 1242cc it, fettle that to buggery, cos then insurance remains reasonable* but then theres more power...By fettle Im saying N2O+ Turbo using low compression pistons!

* - Still an absolute shafting

the gt engine does fit i started to do it but then i give up on it as u need to fabricate a lot of things into the front end like u got to fit a massvie engine into a tiny engine bay so if ya god with a welder the go ahead but if ya not it aint going to come cheap
