Im about to buy a new Seicento exhaust tip for my Abarth Sporting 01' as mine has gone all dirty and rusted and they're like £20 from Halfords so was just wondering:

1. The dimension i should get, in mm!?
2. Are they easy to fit!?

Cheers!!

hello mate

1. i don't know what size the tip is in mm's but why don't you measure the previous one.

2.they are normally quite easy to fit as they normally have one screw to screw onto the exhaust pipe, plus they will have instructions with it.

Hope that helps.

Mustard

Cheers, but

Is it easy to take off the old seicento exhaust tip!? will it slide off if i soak it in some WD40!?

My cinq exhaust tip was held on by a weld, i not sure about yours. if that is the case with yours you will have to break the weld and file it to make it smooth so the aftermarket tip can be pushed on.

Have a look at yours and see if its welded on or not

i have never taken the tip off before but the exhaust tip i had the weld was quite visible so i guess you would need a hacksaw or if your hand with an angle grinder you can use that.

it will be welded, i would be suprised with all the hot gases that escape, if it was just grease or similar etc i would assume once these were heated up they would melt and the tip would fall off all the time

You been drinking tonight? the grease is elbow grease ie try cleaning the bugger before chopping it off

I know what elbow grease is, he said 'i hope its not welded on' which i replied it probably will be and would be suprised if it wasnt and explained why i think it is welded, i couldnt think of a liquid to solid substance that it could be other than possibly glue hence why i put 'grease or similar etc'

If its welded, what's the point in using a bit of elbow grease? It isnt going to come off

I understood it to mean he was going to try and use a bit of force and try to avoid chopping it off in the hope a 'bit of elbow grease' would be sufficient to knock it off

Got an exhaust tip today and it turns out that it just slips over my exsiting one, so no need for any snapping of welds or anything!! -YAY!

cheers for help!
