well just given the cinq a polish and thought i'd go take some pics (really wish i hadnt now though!, ended up having to go onto grass verge and kerbed alloy due to another car driving in the middle of the road on way home!!!)

Wats wrong wit using the orignal shelf, i used that, sound pretty good to me, saves making a new one out of mdf and keeps the weight down for more subbage.

Its a well known fact that it doesnt maximise the speaker, coz of the vibrations of the original shelf material. Trust me make a new one from mdf, ply... and it will sound better

Bonnet does look rather odd, get it sprayed matt black!

Re: Shelf problems, cut a piece of MDF and screw it to the underside of the standard shelf and cover the shelf with some accoustic carpet.
