OK I finished work at 21:00 tonight nothing strange there.

On the way home some woman (no offence to other women drivers on this forum), decided that despite being in the left-hand lane and indicating left to take the exit from the round about (that had three lanes might I add)

She would infact turn right and continue round the round about despite me being on her ouside, ready to overtake her once exiting the round about.

Needless to say she has TOTALLY nackered my once PERFECT Fox Racing Evo 2 alloy, smashed my front wing and my focus side repeater, smashed in my door to the extent that the window doesn't go dont, and worst of all damaged the rear quarter panel.

I stopped the car in a safe place, and got out to inspect the damage.

I was DEVISTATED and burst in tears, as my once perfect Cinq had been destroyed by a stupid woman not looking where she was going.

Brian (VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY upset indead)

Christ Dude, u alrite? What a shame :( Its like they say, its not you, its other people. Very Sorry to hear your bad news. Did she stop? hope yalrite

I arrived soon after this and was gutted to see what had happened and the state brian was in. I have known brian for nearly four years now and thats the worst state i have ever seen him in and do not wish that upon him what so ever. He spent all weekend working on it replacing the gearbox and doing other jobs and now some women has done this. ITS JUST WORNG!! (sorry this has got me a bit worked up as well) Do some people not take care when driving.

Mate i know i have said it loads tonight but i am really sorry about this.

Anyways i got there and gave my digi cam to brian so he could take lots of photos of what happened.

If you need owt you know you can ask for owt!:D Keep smiling Brian we have not failed at anything yet and we will not been beaten by this, mark my words!!

Yeah she did stop but for her and the b/f to sit in the car until the coppers got there!!

Just in and read this thread, I'd say I kinda know Brian and his love for his Cinq and I can also vouch for it being on of the tidiest, cleanest around so this news is heart breaking. I'm not afriad to admit it but so would I be crying if someone hit me cos some folks don't realise the work and time and money peeps like us put in.

Brian mate, gutted for you pal this hasn't been a good couple of weeks Cinq wise but I'm sure better times lie ahead.

Liam <goes and puts Fiat flag to half mast>

Thanks for your comments mate, very much appreciated.

Rest assured "Mr Cinq" will LIVE again,

With you saying about rear quarter damage I'd say the insurance may write it off so have you any idea of the money you could get from then and I'm sure you'll be buying it from them due to mods etc?

With your privy plate I'm sure with some hard work you could get another brrom Cinq and to the onlooker it wouldn't look any different.

There is a yellow one for sale in the cars for sale section, saying that though Mase sen the light and came into Imola ownership. Not that I would want to sway you mate.

What has Tosh (aka Julio) said?

I will fight Tooth and Nail to ensure the insurance company do not write it off. I'm not a fan of Insurance companies, but I will fight them to ensure we keep Mr Cinq.

Having raced and rallied for years, I have put many a car into hedges, fences and ravines over a long period of time, and so the damage to Brian's car does not worry me. It hurts me, but does not worry me. RallyCinq will bear me out on this.

What does worry me is the fact that there is some crazy bint driving round Washington that has no idea what lane to be in, what indicators are for, and much worse, what it means when a car is on your right and they are indicating left (as you are yourself) and you actually want to be in the right hand lane. This doesn't mean you can simply drive into them. Or maybe I am reading the wrong Highway Code.

Some people say 'you old fellers are living in the past' when you look at young drivers, but I think most of the young lads I've come into contact with are actually pretty good, it's just the occasional brain dead Gimp that lets the side down and that's what makes old boys castigate the youth of today. (Unfairly)

I would happily sit in with Brian, Dave, Brickfoot, Fixit, Surf or any of the crowd, but if I sat in with 'her' I would probably want either a full harness, a line of snow or a .45 calibre Smith and Wesson......

I do despair sometimes.

Tosh

PS. Mr Cinq will live again, of that there is no doubt............

No wonder mate, if your anything like me I could live with a broken limb and some cuts aslong as my Cinq was ok.

Liam
I'd give my left bollock to make sure my car was ok :(

A bad week for Team Cento

I just don't understand it, how on earth did the woman not see a BRIGHT YELLOW Cinq on her outside,

I mean come on, a Cinq maybe a pretty small car, but how can any awake, living or even semi-conscious person miss such a large mass of Yellow paint? its totally beyond me :(

Stunning. simply stunning. Nail's been hit on the head!! Its not current standards, Its old ones and ignorance!!- I think most young or new drivers are often more responsible those already driving. Its complacency. It does my head in, the fact that that young blokes are always cited as a major risk, when Id say Ive been nearly killed more times by trucks and mad women and sales reps on effing phones!!! :(

Thank fook im not from Essex ;) :D

Sie, Id be careful when betting ones testicles against anything short of a dead cert in yure favour;)
