Whilst driving to work the other morning, only a few yards down the road I lost all power, all lights went out and engine died. Stereo was still working though! I obviously pulled over, checked the battery and the fuses, got back in the car and tried to start it. All dash lights came on as necessary, turned the key, engine started but as soon as the key was released, everything died again. I waited five minutes, scratching my head! Went to start her again and it worked ok.

Does anyone know if this is a key code problem, something to do with the ignition barrel or maybe to do with something else?

I have a Sei Sporting 2003. If anyone has any ideas, it would be greatly appreciated.
