Starting trouble

Dear all,

For some reason this winter my cinquecento sporting wonít start without me lightly pressing the accelerator pedal. If itís very cold it will then stall at the next few junctions until its warm.

It seems like it wonít turn the choke on as in past winters it used to idle at just over 1000 rpm until warm, then reduce to about 800rpm. However, this winter it wonít idle past 800 rpm when starting.

So far I have tried a new temperature sensor and a mapping chip but neither have made any difference.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Re: Starting trouble

You mean the map sensor?

Take the hose off and inspect it very carefully.
