Its the Gilmour mate, with autobrites super snowfoam (with a little maxi suds mixed in) (y)

ps, how do you recognise it ?

whats the idea behind this snow foam??

to moisten/loosen the dirt before you pressure wash it??

or pressure wash it first, then sud it up with this stuff??

Only really worth it if you've had teh car from new and washed and cared for it from scratch, otherwise your paint will look like mine (super haze!!)

You obviously aint been down the detailing forum, they can make any car look minted again using a polishing/cutting machine. Too much of an art for me, although i need to get my finger out and do some decent touch ups as the last owner got keyed.

Hey 182_Blue, I recognise you from detailing world, you're one of the admins aren't you?. Weren't you selling the Focus around Christmas, thinking about a Fiat instead? (y)

Snow foams been knocking around for ages it's been on all the detailing forums for months/years as you'd be well aware. Can't say I've tried it myself, basically because I've got so much other car cleaning stuff that can't justify buying more, but heard reasonably good things. Oh that and a bloody hosepipe ban.

So what is the real difference between snow foam and say a normal car wash product through a foam gun?

hi mate, recognise you also, and yeh im the the Admin there, yeh the ST maybe for sale but im not sure i can sell it  , or what would replace it, as for the snowfoam i wouldn't say it cleans better than most other things, but i do find if you use it as well as the normal washing stuff (mitt etc), then it adds an extra amount of protection between the mitt and paint

I may have seen a mk4 golf looking as mint as that two days ago in sunderland!!!

had to look at least twice whilst in traffic as it was better than new probably!!

and yeah, my front wings look like the mk4 golf's did.

stil haven't got anywhere with it yet!!! (got some autoglym paint renovator but weather hasn't been good enough to try it yet).

or failing that, I would be looking for a finishing place in the NE that can machine polish it/ *wag* it and get it looking more like it should:)

The shine's amazing on those cars! The orange looks so good

Mine's in a right sorry state at the moment. Swirl marks everywhere and ive had it from new aswell  I havn't polished it for ages. Used to be pretty good with it, but ive lost interest now.

How much (approx) would it be to get the work done for me? Also the interior... Fabia vRS seats are an absolute joke to keep clean.

people charge different prices mate, what area are you in ?

hmm, not sure mate, best thing would be to post up on the forum and someone may be able to help you out

I'll go for a post too.
I'm in sunderland, but would travel a fair distance in the NE to get the job done, or at least someone who can show me how.

The car itself is worth bugger all, but I'm either changing in march, or keeping it for another few years yet (till I graduate, prob more likely given the £££ situation), so want it too look like what it was.

I've also got a weird dent on the NS front wing from previous owner, its been there 2.5years + now, but never bothered me to remove it since it may damage the paint

good lads, put me down as you referrer :) (same name)

ps im not on commission LOL, the site is free to join etc :D
