Double sided Number Plate Tape, you can get one that's quite thin,as you are probably aware if you have ever tried to remove a number plate when it's on its on.

If it is a dense foam, usually black or dark grey, it will probably be fine. If in doubt, you could test it on something that would not matter if it dropped off.

Ideally, badge, car and tape need to be warm! Many number plates have dropped off after being applied cold. (Usually about 7-10 days) Tape and badge in house works, but car would need warming. Park it with the sun on it, then add heat from a hairdryer until car is almost too hot to touch. Difficult this time of year unless you can get it into a garage. Don't use a hot air gun, it takes the paint off.

I did test the tape last night and funnily enough used my heat gun to warm the tape but it didn't stick to my Multi, possibly coz the car was very cold or possibly coz the tape's not up to the job....

I have already lost a self sticking badge, it stayed on for a few months then just plopped off one day  would hate to loose my Multipla badge but the good thing I guess is it's very light and sticks in many places compared to a round metal badge
