I'm looking to foam!

Its payday soon and I'm looking to upgrade a few car cleaning products. I will have access to an outdoor tap and hose but no outdoor power.

I'm thinking about getting one of these for snow foam.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Gilmour-Fo...item3ccb3650f1

Anyone got any views? What else should I be looing at? Ideally I wanna move away from the 1970's hose, bucket'o'soap, sponge and chamois scenario.

Thanks

Re: I'm looking to foam!

Andy Monty has one of them, used it on my Pajero not long after I got it, it doesn't give quite the same thick foam layer as a pressure hose does but it's very good
Thanks samdavis thanked for this post

Eliet car care are who I now use after AndyMonty's recomendation. Very impressed with them TBH.

Not sure on that particular unit though. I take it you haven't a pressure washer

Thanks gents!

Unfortunately no jetwash. I use one at my parents but I have to drive out of town. Gets kinda pointless in the winter when the roads get filthed.

Anyone got any advice for better-than-sponge stuff?

Re: I'm looking to foam!

Nothing wrong with a sponge...... Providing its a decent one made of cellulose

eg
http://compare.ebay.co.uk/like/37058...bar&adtype=pla

some pics of my gilmour here:
https://www.fiatforum.com/car-care/2...wash-tips.html

I find it works well using a weak surfex mixture rather than snow foam
