any ideas on the best tyre shine the ones i use last about a day

try meguiars endurance mate, they sell it in halfords or try a car accessories shop. purple colour gel. lasts a while too.

ill 2nd this one its really good and lasts a while too

i like autoglym tyre dressing it gives a nice shine and is easy to put on and lasts a while.............

Turtle wax foaming tyre shine.
Spray it on, leave it.
Job done, Lasts about a week.
Then again i clean my Gf's dad's Avant every Sunday so its all good.

i used to use that foaming spray stuff, but it just doesnt last long enough.

megs endurance for me- 2 coats once a month and they always look like new

Meguiars Endurance Tyre Gel, best by far you can get a Turtle Wax or Carplan gel which is alot cheaper but not as good.

the amorall one isn't too bad, and doesnt seem to stain your fingers as much as the megs one! A cheaper alternative for the OP- but the megs one lasts ages anyway, so its not exactly expensive.

megs endurance currently just annoying to apply if not careful, might invest in some SV Pneu when i can convince myself...or just need some more SV stuff lol...

Aye the Megs Endurance, applied 3 times now over the last 3 months, been 3 weeks now and it still repells rain/puddlewater and the tyres look clean!

I've just tyre painted my tyres and they look spanking!

Got myself CarPlan tyre silk. Brilliant and fairly cheap too!

Simple and accurate to spray on and it seems to last ages

personally i use vaseline, quite hard getting it into the tread but looks good when done

I use mequires looks good and smells nice too.

I've put oil on mine! looks great! no grip tho!
