Engine mounts for the Bravo T-Jet 1.4L (150bhp/110kw) and screechy noises from clutch

Hi! First post here.

I've noticed there isn't much about Fiats online except for this forum. And I have a problem with my 2007 Fiat Bravo T-Jet 1.4L (manual of course, the earlier T-Jets were only manuals?).

2 problems here:

The vehicle vibrates around, especially on the driver's side when no one is sitting in the passenger seat. This happened after I bought the vehicle. I figure that it's the Engine mounts. These mounts were last changed 4 years ago by the previous owner.

So I've poked around and found that there are three mounts to be changed and I have no desire to go back to using Fiat OEM parts since.... they are likely to get busted soon anyway,

So after a lot of googling, I have pulled out the following LEMFORDER parts:

ENGINE - FUEL: Engine Mountings: 34455 01 -- LEMFORDER
ENGINE - FUEL: Engine Mountings: 34456 01 -- LEMFORDER
ENGINE - FUEL: Engine Mountings: 34457 01 -- LEMFORDER

Would these be the correct ones? I've emailed several online stores and no one's entertaining my queries.

Some stores also list a fourth mount which is the 'transmission end mount'. What is this and would it be needed?:
ORIGINAL IMPERIUM 25044

The second problem involves a weird screechy noise when I push the clutch down and hold it down for too long. Happens especially when I put it into reverse. The mechanic's popped open the clutch are and couldn't find anything. The clutch got replaced anyway since it was about time but the issue is still there. Any ideas why?

Can't post URLs and pics yet.
Thanks!

I don't think this problem is related to engine mounts at all.

The problem is the CSC ( Concentric Slave Cylinder )

Also try not to hold down the clutch a lot. Bad habit.

I've changed the CSC when I got the clutch changed. And it wasn't the mechanic who made that claim as I bought the CSC and gave it to him for installation. The screeching is still there.

Also what could the vibration be due to?

Are you sure it's replaced then?
Record the noise if you can.

About the other issue, when do you feel this vibration? Idle / accelerating / braking ?

Yep. Sure it's replaced. After the replacement, the clutch felt like tofu before hardening again. I'll try to record it when I'm cleaning it tomorrow.

As for the vibration, only when idling (less at the start but definitely by the time I hit the traffic lights) The screeching sometimes alternates with the vibration. (as in screeching without vibration and then no screech but vibration) Seems to be on a cycle.

Is the screeching noise rpm related?

Yep. If the revs are higher than idle, there is no screech. But once it starts idling, the screeching often returns. Doesn't always though. Depends on the angle the car is idling at.

Well, if it depends on the angle probably you are right about the engine mounts.

Although that does not explain the noise. Maybe one mount is completely gone? Try to find the source of the noise.

Remove the plastic undertray and the connecting metal strap... maybe it got bent at some time, and now the exhaust touches it when it vibrates at idle.

also could be exhaust mounts that cause slop in exhaust and vibrations... touching the plastic undertray or the

I tried. And the mechanic tried for 2 days and couldn't find it despite taking the gearbox apart twice. The again, I've always questioned the competency of the mechanic. After he poured 5 litres of engine oil in!!!

I brought it to another mechanic but this one's charging 250 bucks just to open the thing up!

Oooo never thought of that. It seems to come from the engine bay though. Not the rear. What connecting metal strap is this?

Re: Engine mounts for the Bravo T-Jet 1.4L (150bhp/110kw) and screechy noises from cl

There is a piece of 3x40mm flat-bar that goes under the exhaust, beneath the engine bay.
It helps to support the plastic undertray.

It gets easily bent, then the exhaust vibrates against it at certain engine loads.
