Thinking about painting my top grille matte black with bits of red tomorrow.

How does one remove said grille?

Iv had two bravos now and on both I have blacked all of the grill and on my first red bravo I vinyl wrapped under the number plate... looks very good! :D

IIRC, you just pull it out. But before you use red, can I re-show everyone this, as personally I think it looks better

That DOES look better. I'm gonna do it like that. Will it be alright to paint over the chrome surround without it going all funny?

As Tad said sand it first then plenty of grey primmer, make sure they are all set between layers then paint and lacquer. And do it in dry, warm, non windy conditions. :)

I think ill be doing some of this to looks good, also gonna paint the bottom part of the rear bumper the same as the car and not just black plastic.

In case he sprays it with mat black, no need for primmer nor laquer. Mat black paint in a can is the easiest way to spray anything black and it's very durable.

Grille painting commences today! Decided i'm going to go with black and red, got a little design idea in mind. Going to leave the chrome as it is for now though. I will post pics later.

Did you manage to pull the grille out without breaking anything? I've tried it before, but I'm afraid I'll f*ck up and not being able to put the grille back in place :(

ascott92, is there a splitter on the black Bravo you've posted?

Done two coats of "Ebony Black" so far. Looking good! I'll do a final coat in an hour or so.

The grille just pulls out, It has quite strong clips so you don't need to worry about snapping them. Just pull it from both sides at the same time.
You can also seperate the chrome surround from the main black plastic part which is what I did to make painting easier.
