I asked the question a little while back if it was possable to fit a double DIN sized headunit into the new Bravo?

Appears it can be fitted no problem so I can now go ahead as planned and fit this:

But the problem I had was I couldn't find a facia adapter to suit.

Well now I have lol

Maybe it'll be useful to others who maybe wanted to do simliar plans.

The only down side I see is that B&M won't work (please correct me if i'm wrong) and the Steering wheel controls won't work.

Don't have either as all I've heard is problem after problem with the B&M. And I prefer the remote buttons to be mounted on the side if the steeing column rather than on the actual steering wheel itself. So opted for neither feature.

And I wouldn't need the B&M ayway as the Pioneer Headunit is fully Ipod compatable so I'll have 160Gb worth of music and videos all controlled fully via the headunit. It also has built in bluetooth for handsfree calling which is of awesome quality (I had the previous model in my old car and have used this model in a 'test' car) so again no need for the Fiat B&M.

Then you add to that the Sat-Nav and awesome Pioneer quality sound system

its only (y)(y)(y)(y)

lol

You can usually buy adaptors for them. You usually have to buy 2 adaptors. 1 for the head unit and 1 for the remote control.

I've heard so many people have problems with the B&M and be back at the dealer so often with it.

Mines been back twice.... but now I know it's not a problem but a setting that I can change myself! Other than that my K800i pairs perfectly and USB stick plays fine every day.

Think most peoples problems have been with certain phones not pairing.

As always with forums, you only see the negative posts with people having issues.

I would say the vast majority have had no problems and most of those that have haven't been due to faulty equipment but people not knowing how to use it.

The only real problem with the hardware is that it doesn't recognise all phones.

I have a SE K800i which took seconds to setup, upload my phonebook, start making calls, use voice commands, use the message reader etc...

No problems here, 100% chuffed!

Im weth nel on this one.

Ive got blue and me and tbh its not all that. I also had it in my grande and to be fair worked to the same degree as the Bravo.

Confused voice commands, Random play not quite random enough, unable to play large hdd's, mis-labeling of the songs and never 100% with any mobile. Trust me I change my mobile every couple of months and not one has ever 100% worked.

Gonna go for a double din setup now nel has shown me a fascia kit exists (ordered one today should be with me tomorrow).

Thinking the kenwood 5220bt might just scratch my itch. While scratchin empty my wallet:( That said, im a sucker for good sound and ive never gone wrong with a kenwood.(y)

You pay for quality mate. Besides £800 ain't exactly fort knox lol

im not saying it will not be good quality, but i have better things to spend 800 quid on :)

i was talking to someone about this yesterday and i did say if i had a "spare" 800 i would prob have it.
