:bang: have got a p reg 1.6 brava with suspected faulty ecu dealer says fault lies in the ecu but can not be 100 per cent. car miss fires and has lost power max 20 mph ,has had injectors done . want to know if you can get ecu from another source other than dealer and if any technical difficultys with fitting it ,ie any programing of keys or imobilizer.

If it needs a new ecu, give ebay a try for new ecu, ignition barrell etc. Well worth a try and easy to fit.

Hello and welcome Have you checked spark plugs, leads and as Dave says, coil pack? If this doesn't work, the ECU might not be duff, might just need reset. Leave the battery disconnected overnight to reset it.
